Charcoal is all the rage these days when it comes to health and wellness trends. You can find it in supplements, toothpaste, scalp treatments, face wash, and body wash. Can You Use Face Soap on Your Body?

Yes, you can use face soap on your body. However, we don’t suggest doing it the other way around—you shouldn’t use body soap on your face. The skin on your body is much stronger than the skin on your face, and it can tolerate way more, including stronger fragrances, harsher ingredients, and more exfoliants. Of course, some people have sensitive skin on their bodies, but for the most part, a lot of people are able to use any body wash they want on their skin. 

Typically, face wash comes in a much smaller container (and is often more expensive), so it might be wasteful to also use it on your body, which takes a lot of product to clean every inch of it. It is not really recommended you waste product to clean both your face and body, but you certainly can if that is what works for you. If you are in a pinch, you can definitely use your face wash as a body wash if you’re really desperate to get clean. 

The fragrances and other ingredients included in body washes are not compatible with your delicate facial skin. Plus, most people have some sort of sensitivity on their face, whether it is to certain scents or ingredients. Even those with “normal” skin would likely have a reaction to body wash if it were used on the face.
